The immigration authorities investigated a case of 164 Vietnamese language trainees enrolled at the University of Incheon Korean Language Institute.

According to the University of Incheon on the 10th, the evaluation team composed of employees of the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Education initiated a survey on the international education capability certification system and international student attraction management at the university headquarters this morning.

The assessment team will focus on the management of attendance and departure from language trainees at the university.

In addition, Cho Dong-sung, the president of Incheon University, attends interviews with language trainee staff.

The University of Incheon said earlier that 164 of the 1,900 Vietnamese trainees at the university's Korean Language Institute are missing.

After entering Korea for a short-term language course this year, they enrolled in the Korean Language Institute at Incheon University, but disappeared after three to four months.

University of Incheon has notified the authorities of foreign language trainees in accordance with the regulations to notify the Ministry of Justice immigration office if they are absent for more than 15 days.
