Intensive search for missing persons in a fire helicopter crash in Dokdo's waters officially ended today (8th), the 39th day of the accident.

The search authorities concluded the intensive search after the weekly search by 5 pm.

Earlier, on October 31, a helicopter from the Central 119 Rescue Division crashed into the nearby sea immediately after takeoff from Dokdo.

There were seven firefighters, seven sailors A, and another sailor B, who had their fingers cut off during operation.

Search authorities have conducted naval and maritime warships, fishing vessels, and divers to search underwater and sea based on weather conditions near Dokdo.

As a result, four dead bodies were collected: Lee Jong-hu, Deputy-Chairman, Seo Jung-yong Aviation Equipment Inspector, Park Dan-bi paramedic, and Sailor A.

He also salvaged the badly damaged fuselage and recovered the black box at the tail.

However, due to the worsening weather conditions, underwater searches were delayed several times.

The pan-government support team said the intensive search conducted by the Navy and others was over, but plans to carry out the search as the maritime police carry out their basic duties.
