The first launch of OneWeb satellites from Baikonur is scheduled for January 30

The representative of the press service of Glavkosmos, a subsidiary of Roscosmos, said that the first launch of the British OneWeb communications satellites from the Baikonur cosmodrome is scheduled for late January.



“Work on the launch of OneWeb spacecraft is proceeding on schedule, according to which the first launch from the Baikonur Cosmodrome is scheduled for January 30, 2020,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

It is noted that to launch 34 satellites, the Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle with the Frigate-M booster block will be used.

It was previously reported that the first fully commercial launch from the Vostochny spaceport will be carried out in April 2020.
