More than 200 students evacuated after a carbon monoxide poisoning at a school in Haute-Saone. Five children, who suffer from headaches, were evacuated to the hospital.

Nearly 200 students were evacuated Friday from a school in Montbozon, Haute-Saone, due to carbon monoxide poisoning. Five of them were taken to the hospital for exams. "Several children and two companions have symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning" at 8:30 at the educational center of Montbozon, says the prefecture of Haute-Saone in a statement. Some 184 students from this establishment, which includes a kindergarten and elementary school, were evacuated by firefighters, in the presence of Samu and the gendarmerie. Among them, "174 were given to their families and 10 remain supported by the community of communes the time of school catering," she added.

Five children, suffering in particular from headaches, were transported to the hospitals of Vesoul and Besançon for medical examinations of control. "The causes of this intoxication result according to current investigations of a failure of the evacuation of the fumes of the heating", indicated the prefecture. The school will remain closed until Tuesday morning.
