Live hidden in your home or leave it and risk being shot. Or, at best, jailed. That situation, which many Spaniards lived during the Civil War and later years, is told in the drama The Infinite Trench through the history of Higinio and Rosa. If he is played by Antonio de la Torre , Belén Cuesta (Sevilla, 1984), an actress who admits to be shocked after knowing the cases in which this film is directed by the trio of directors responsible for Handia is inspired .

Some were more or less time. And they lived confinements in many ways. In the book Los moles , by Jesús Torbado and Manu Leguineche, they are discussed and more lasting and complex cases are collected. To prepare the paper, you have confessed that you thoroughly investigated how Spanish women of the last century were. What conclusion do you make clear of that? I wanted to understand well the point of view of the characters in this story, but also that of the women of that time. Of course, without positioning myself or thinking about what I agree with or not. Because there are things that were done then and that now, seen from the position that women enjoy today, are unthinkable. Have you felt the stress that the protagonists of this hard history experience? I have tried to put myself in Rosa's skin as much as possible. And I have to say that there were more claustrophobic moments and hard situations to interpret. But we all understood this project because of the fear that arises in a situation like this and how it is installed in those who lived it. In a town, silence can generate a lot of fear. In addition to the marked Andalusian accent, your character and that of Antonio de la Torre speak with phrases almost in disuse ... Antonio and I have worked thoroughly on complicity. We did a lot of previous work to try to respect the way of speaking at that time. With this film many have been surprised to discover that you handle yourself in a very dramatic story. People keep that division between comedy and drama. But, without the drama, comedy would not exist. And, although the viewer laughs, there is a lot of drama in comedy. In the end, it all depends on the point of view you have. Paquita Salas , without that layer of humor, could be seen as a tragedy or something more painful. At least, I'm glad that many have seen that I can do different things, which is what I like.
