Jeju Island captured wild boars to stop the African swine fever (ASF) and killed 210 animals by yesterday (25th).

Jeju Island announced today that it has killed 58 teams in the Hallasan National Park area, 28 in Jeju City and 124 in Seogwipo City by yesterday.

Jeju Island continuously inspects all mother pigs that are shipped to the slaughterhouse to prevent the influx of African swine fever and also reinforces the inspection of heat treated processed products made from pork from other regions.

At the same time, we have increased the number of airport quarantine personnel to 30, and we have put more than 100 people in livestock concentrated areas to disinfect livestock vehicles 24 hours a day to prevent penetration of the African swine fever prevention network.
