Kim Jun-ki was arrested by police just after his eastern group returned from the United States early today (23th).

He was accused of sexually assaulting domestic helpers in 2016 and assaulting her first secretary the following year, but stayed in the United States for two years and three months and returned home for health reasons.

Kim denied the charges even though he was accused of causing controversy.

[Kim Joon-ki / Former Dongbu Group Chairman: (Are you admitting suspicion?) I will reveal the truth during the investigation process. I do not admit.]

The secretary and the housework assistant were found to have recorded footage of the damage and sexual harassment remarks and submitted them to the police.

Kim said the relationship was agreed.

Kim's attorney said he has been convincingly dissatisfied with the charges.

He also claimed that he did not avoid police investigations because he stayed abroad for medical treatment.

But police are known to have captured the situation in which former President Kim tried to reach an agreement with the victim.

The police will review the application for a arrest warrant as soon as Kim finishes his investigation.
