Instagram tests a function with which accounts are automatically sorted by how much active interest you show in them.

Tech blogger Jane Machun Wong posted a number of screenshots that show that Instagram accounts sort by 'least interaction with' and 'most often seen in the feed'. Instagram therefore looks at the past ninety days.

"We group the accounts that you follow to make them easier to manage", is above the position. Users can immediately follow accounts from the list.

Blogger Wong keeps an eye on the code and test environments of various social media platforms. Her findings are generally reliable. However, functions that are tested by Instagram are by no means always actually entered.
