Leonov was buried at the memorial cemetery in the suburbs

According to TASS, servicemen of the 154th separate commandant regiment of the Preobrazhensky regiment made a three-time mourning salute during burial.

Earlier, a farewell ceremony took place with the astronaut. It was attended, among others, by Secretary of Defense Sergey Shoigu, the first female cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova, and US astronaut Thomas Stafford, a member of the Soyuz Apollo project.

Leonov died in Moscow on October 11 at the 86th year of his life.
