Peter Wright has thrown the highest average ever at Players Championship 29 in Barnsley on Monday. The Englishman recorded a historical average of 123.5 in his quarterfinals against Kryzstof Ratajski.

The 49-year-old Wright obviously had enough to beat Ratajski. He won 6-0 against the 42-year-old Pole and takes on the British Brendan Dolan in the semi-finals.

The record of highest average was in the name of Michael van Gerwen for years. De Brabander scored an average of 123.4 against Michael Smith during the fourth Premier League round in February 2016 and won that match 7-1.

Kim Huybrechts is the other darter who ever managed to score an average of at least 120. The 33-year-old Belgian did that in June 2017 during the World Cup of Darts in his quarter-final match with Paul Lim.

When determining the highest averages ever at the darts, incidentally, only the tournaments that are broadcast somewhere are considered.

123.5 AVERAGE FROM WRIGHT! Stunning stuff from Peter Wright who averages 123.5 in a 6-0 rout of Krzysztof Ratajski! Snakebite is into the semi-finals of Players Championship 29.
