The teachers of a high school in Tarverny (Val-d'Oise) did not provide classes Wednesday to protest against an assault by one of their students, the third in the department in a few days, suspected of slapping Monday two teachers , said the academy.

This student had an altercation in the corridors of high school Louis-Jouvet with a teacher when another colleague came to help him: the two teachers "were slapped", said the direction of the departmental services of education (DSDEN), confirming information from the Parisian.

Teachers have asserted their right of withdrawal

The high school student was dismissed as a precautionary measure, while a disciplinary council was organized. Teachers have asserted their right of withdrawal on Monday and classes were not provided Wednesday, said the DSDEN.
This aggression is the third in Val-d'Oise, in a few days.

In Osny, a high school student, suspected of attacking a teacher on Friday who wanted to confiscate his cellphone, was indicted for aggravated violence. In Sarcelles, a 19-year-old high school student who had violently beaten his PSE teacher, was sentenced on Friday in an immediate appearance to eight months in prison, four of which were suspended with probation.
