Microsoft has added a feature to the test version of Windows that makes it possible to call with a computer via an Android phone, according to a blog post from the company.

With the Your Phone app in Windows, users can answer and reject calls, make calls themselves and transfer a call from their phone to the computer. Users need a smartphone with at least Android 7 for this.

By using the Windows app, Android owners no longer have to take their phone out of their pocket to answer the phone. In addition, users have access to their contact list, allowing them to make calls through their computer without picking up their phone.

The feature has been added in a software update for Windows 10 for a test version of Windows. It is unclear when the app will be available in the regular version of Windows.

For iPhone owners who also own an Apple computer, it was already possible to make calls via the computer.
