The launch of the Proton-M launch vehicle from the Baikonur Cosmodrome with commercial satellites, previously set aside for additional tests, is scheduled for October 9, the Roskosmos press service said.

“At the Baikonur Cosmodrome, preparations are underway for launching the Proton-M launch vehicle with the Briz-M booster, the Eutelsat 5 West B telecommunication satellite and the Mission Extension Vehicle-1, which is scheduled for October 9, 2019 at 13 : 17: 56 Moscow time, ”the press release said.

The state corporation specified that in the morning of October 5, in accordance with the work schedule, the rocket was transported from the technological gas station to the launch site of the cosmodrome site and work began on preparations for the launch.

Earlier, the head of Roskosmos Dmitry Rogozin said that the launch of Proton will take place in the first half of October.

On September 24, Roscosmos postponed the launch of the Proton-M launch vehicle, scheduled for September 30, due to the required refinement and additional tests of the control system for the upper stage.
