It is reported by China Daily.

A high-resolution microwave remote sensing satellite will be used to monitor the Earth’s surface. The spacecraft is capable of taking photographs with a resolution of less than 1 m.

It is noted that it will be used in the design of road networks, urban planning, to assess the yield of agricultural land, as well as to monitor and eliminate the consequences of natural disasters.

Earlier, China successfully launched two Beidou-3 satellites, which became the 47th and 48th in the Beidou navigation system.
