To undress a saint to dress another. This phrase from the popular proverb perfectly summarizes the Microsoft Windows update policy. It is quite frequent that every time the operating system introduces a patch or an update to solve a problem, new ones arise .

The last problem that has arisen in this regard has occurred with the latest update, whose serial number is KB4515384. It was an important package as it was designed to correct 80 security flaws in the Windows operating system.

However, this update brings with it an even more serious problem: that the Wi- Fi and Ethernet (cable) connections of the computers stop working. Something that, in most cases, means leaving the equipment if no internet connection.

Microsoft itself has acknowledged in a statement that this problem is happening in some NEC terminals with Intel Centrino cards. "If these devices are updated to Windows 10 version 1903, they will not be able to connect to networks via WiFi, " they warn from the company.

Also, it is possible that, if this problem occurs, the Wifi controller could present a yellow icon that warns the user that something is failing in the connection.

Given the seriousness of the problem, Microsoft has paralyzed the Windows 10 updates that start in May 2019.

This program can be solved by uninstalling the affected version from our computer (KB4515384).

In case the problem persists, from the company they also recommend a trick that can be used to solve this problem: deactivate the Wifi controller from the device controller and activate it again. Then, the computer must be restarted .
