Originally British car brand MG returns to the Dutch market with an electric model: the ZS EV. The car can be ordered from next month.
The MG ZS EV is available from 29,990 euros. For that amount, the brand supplies the compact electric SUV in the Comfort version. The Luxury version is for 31,990 euros in the price list. You can test drive at the location in Amsterdam and at a pop-up location that is yet to be announced.
The starting price of 29,990 means that the MG will be the most affordable fully-fledged electric car in the Netherlands. Only the Smart and the electric trio Seat Mii, Skoda Citigo and Volkswagen e-Up are below that price level, but they are all city cars.
The ZS EV has a 150 hp electric motor placed on the front axle. The battery pack is one of 44.5 kWh, with which a range of paper of 263 kilometers must be achievable. Elsewhere in the world, the ZS, which came on the market in 2015, is also available with gasoline engines.
MG is best known for its open two-seater, such as the MGB from the sixties and the MG F from the nineties. MG has been in Chinese hands since 2006.
