Audi has presented the new RS7 in Frankfurt. Following the RS6 introduced last month, the RS7 also gets a V8 engine with 600 hp. The German brand will introduce even more sporty RS models in the coming weeks.
Thanks to 600 horsepower and four-wheel drive, the RS7 accelerates to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.7 seconds. The top speed is limited to 250 kilometers per hour, but can be increased to 280 or even 305 kilometers per hour against payment.
The engine is coupled to a mild hybrid system to reduce consumption. The recovered braking energy can be used for acceleration. In addition, the system shuts down the engine while rolling out in front of the traffic light.
The brakes and the chassis are adjusted to steer the power in the right direction. The car is lowered and equipped with air suspension as standard. Four-wheel steering is available as an option. The new RS7 is coming to the Netherlands in the first quarter of next year.
