The first images and specifications of the new smartwatch from Huawei, which will probably be called the Watch GT2, were discovered by WinFuture . The new smartwatch from Huawei is the successor of the Watch GT that was released at the end of 2018.
The leaked images show that the smart watch has a thinner edge around the screen, will have a slightly larger screen and that the watch itself will be slightly thinner. Both designs of a 'Classic' variant with a leather strap and a 'Sport' variant with a rubber strap have been found.
The successor to the Watch GT would also get a slightly better battery. The new version would also get a microphone and speaker, which makes it possible to call with the smartwatch. Functionalities of the predecessor, such as GPS and a heart rate monitor, can also be expected by the successor.
Earlier it was announced that the smartwatch will run on HarmonyOS, Huawei's own operating system. It is expected that the new smartwatch will be presented in the coming weeks, possibly at the IFA tech fair that starts on Friday.
