The Google Assistant routine has received a Dutch version in the Clock app, which Androidworld noted. With the routine, a series of preset actions can be performed based on a spoken command.
After the Google Assistant became available in Dutch last year, it now appears that a new functionality is being made available in Dutch. The routine function has been available in English for some time.
The routine function allows the user to set a number of routines that can be activated with a voice command. For example the routine 'good morning', which can be activated by saying 'Hey Google, good morning'. The user can select a number of actions that are then performed, such as turning on the lights, turning on the heating and informing the user about the schedule, the weather and, for example, news.
In the Google Clock app, the Dutch version of it has now appeared, which is automatically activated when the alarm is switched off. When setting the alarm clock, this routine can be turned on and entered, with choices for the information to be given, the option to adjust the phone volume and the option to automatically start a podcast.
The function is similar to 'My day', which was previously available in the Netherlands. By giving the command 'Google, tell me about my day', the assistant provided information about the weather and the current traffic situation.
For now only the morning routine is available in Dutch. Six pre-set routines are available in English, including 'I'm home' and 'Bedtime', and users can create new routines themselves. It is not known whether these routines will also be made available in Dutch.
