The official profile of the co-founder and president of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, was hacked on Friday with several messages of racist and violent content that have remained in the manager's account for 20 minutes, until they have been eliminated.

The Twitter communication department acknowledged the facts in a message: "We are aware that @jack (username of the president of the social network) was compromised and we will investigate what has happened," they published in their official account.

According to several media outlets, in the early afternoon the Twitter president's account was filled with messages with offensive content.

One of them included a term that in the United States is known as the "word N", a term that is avoided by the deeply insulting and racist connotations that it supposes for the African-American community.

Other messages posted warned of threats of fake bombs in Twitter's own offices, while offensive images were shared with discriminatory content towards different groups or mocking tragic historical episodes.

In addition to being the creator of the popular social network, Dorsey has more than 4.5 million Twitter followers , who have received both messages and several links arranged by hackers to access their profile.

According to the technology publication The Verge, the tweets were apparently sent from Cloudhopper, a mobile messaging application that the company acquired in 2010, or through an interface that would emulate the original.

The same source pointed out that the authors of this case could be the same group that attacked the accounts of several YouTube creators last week on Twitter.

Many of the "influencers" and "YouTubers" then suggested that their accounts were violated after an exchange of their SIM cards, performed by employees of the communications company AT&T.

In recent years there have been several cases of pirated and kidnapped accounts of politicians and celebrities on the social network, which has 139 million daily users, according to its financial report for the second quarter, published in July.
