The duration of the launch of the MEV-1 satellite in September became known

The Khrunichev Center reported that the duration of the launch of the American technological satellite Mission Extension Vehicle-1 by the Proton-M launch vehicle from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, scheduled for September 30, should be a record 15 hours 54 minutes.

“The duration of launching MEV-1 - the second in a pair of satellites - into orbit will be a record 15 hours 54 minutes, which is 23 minutes longer than when launching the Inmarsat-5 satellites in 2013 and 2015," RIA Novosti reports.

Earlier, Roscosmos reported that the commercial launch of the Proton-M launch vehicle with the European telecommunications satellite Eutelsat 5 West B and MEV-1 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome will take place on September 30.

On July 31, Proton-M was delivered to the Baikonur Cosmodrome from the Khrunichev Center Rocket and Space Plant.
