“We know that the situation was somewhat contingent, but as usual for our astronauts, you brilliantly coped with this work,” RIA Novosti quotes the Russian leader.

It is noted that this was said after Putin in the pavilion of the Roscosmos Group of Companies contacted the ISS cosmonauts Alexander Skvortsov and Alexei Ovchinin via teleconference.

“I hope that everything will go further, as we say in Russia, like clockwork, but all this movement“ like clockwork ”depends on the high level of professionalism of such high-class specialists as you,” the president said.

At the same time, the Russian leader expressed the hope that FEDOR will help the astronauts in their work and will provide all the necessary support.

According to the agency, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who visited the pavilion with Putin, also wished the Russian astronauts the successful completion of the mission to the ISS.

Previously, the Soyuz MS-14 spacecraft with the FEDOR robot successfully automatically docked with the ISS on the second attempt. The first docking was undertaken on August 24th. The attempt was unsuccessful due to a breakdown in the equipment of the Kurs docking system on the Search module of the ISS Russian segment.

Later, a video was published of the successful docking of the ship with the station.
