The capsule containing the Russian robot Fedor was successfully connected to the International Space Station on Tuesday morning.
The ISS crew is currently preparing to open the hatch. Fedor tweeted his progress: "Sorry for the delay. I'm stuck in traffic, but I'm ready to continue."
Прошу прощения за задержку. Застрял в пробке. Готов к продолжению работы.Avatar
An earlier attempt on Saturday morning failed due to problems with the automatic docking system.
The capsule was launched earlier this week. Fedor, as the robot is called, is the first human-like robot to be sent into space by Russia. In 2011, the US already sent a humanoid robot named Robonaut 2 to work under dangerous conditions.
