A private university in Seoul, a machine room with hundreds of wires, is a resting place for four cleaning workers.

[Moon Jong-sim / College Cleaning Worker: I'm so noisy because of the electromagnetic waves. I still have a headache like this.]

There is no space to stand right in the lounge, which is located in the basement floor below the stairs.

Because of the endless footsteps of students, it's not easy to catch eyes for a while.

There is a simple ventilator, but the fungus vibrates.

[Kim Daim / College Cleaning Worker: Smells great, I can't say it here.]

It is not a break, but a treble, to hang on a fan without an air conditioner in midsummer.

It is a resting area where three people of cleaning are resting.

There's no air conditioning and even a fan in less than one space.

Today (21 days) the outside temperature is 30 degrees and the room temperature is 32 degrees higher than that.

Although it violated the guidelines of rest facilities within workplaces established by the Ministry of Employment and Labor last August, it is not recommended because of recommendations.

Finally, on September 9, 60-year-old Seoul National University cleaning worker died while sleeping in a non-air-conditioned rest room.

Seoul National University students started a signing campaign to create a memorial space and improve the working environment in honor of the deceased cleaner.

[Son-Won Sohn / Seoul National University, 4th grade: when you were working, you were uncomfortable, but I hope you are more comfortable in the above.]

The Ministry of Employment and Labor and Seoul National University also decided to undertake a survey on the status of the break room and make improvements.

The cleaners just want a minimal environment where they can relax.

[College cleaning worker: Can be air conditioned in summer, but that's what you want.]

[Kim Daim / College Cleaning Worker: Quiet rest, smell, quiet, air clear.]
