Since 2014, more than 16,000 processed foods have been imported from 8 prefectures in Fukushima, Japan, to 30,000 tons.

In 2014, processed foods imported at nearly 4,000 tons were on the rise. Last year, more than 7,200 tons were imported, up 90% from four years ago.

Fukushima processed foods are radioactively inspected every time they are imported.

Currently, when Korea imports food from abroad, the standard of radiation is 100bq / kg.

Among the processed foods imported from Fukushima over the past five years, 35 cases of radioactive substances have been detected, with only 16.8 tons of detection.

As the number of radiation detection cases on Japanese processed foods is steadily occurring, it is pointed out that more stringent regulations are required for the safety of people's food.

[Kim Kwang-soo / Democratic Peace Party: China and Taiwan completely prohibit imports of processed foods, so we also think it is necessary to ban imports or strictly regulate measures to ensure the safety of the people.]

The Ministry of Food and Drug Administration said that the radioactivity detected in processed foods from Fukushima has been cesium for the past five years.
