It is a village in Taean, Chungnam. Originally a quiet and clean seaside town, these huge trash pits have been around everywhere for months. Someone dug up the sand by the seaside and buried the space with trash, but the surrounding ground turned black.

Reporter Park Chan-bum reported on the scene.

Just 50 meters away from Taean Beach, a coastal national park, huge pits are dug up everywhere.

Digging out with an excavator reveals illegal landfilled waste.

On one side, various wastes such as rubber tubes, vinyl, bags, etc. are dug up.

As you can see, the ground is dented up to 7 meters below.

Dirty water accumulates everywhere, odor vibrates, and various industrial wastes are in a state of being scattered.

In the land of 7,000 square meters, only 25 tons of garbage and 4 dump trucks have been identified.

It was in June that a pile of garbage began in this area, known as the 'Clean Village'.

[Village Villager: I doubted a lot, because there was a lot of dirt (on the dump truck). ]

An aggregate collector took and sold a large amount of sand without permission and illegally dumped garbage from another business site.

[Company official: I'm admitted to doing that part because I'm not really happy. I don't think so. ]

The soil is showing a black color, and the soil is mixed with chemicals.

[Aggregate workers: (The soil mixed with chemicals) When the time is old, the color changes, and the air color does not go into it.

Even after three months of illegal landfilling, local governments did not take any action.

[Park Tae-soon / Taean-gun Office cleaning administration team: I will not investigate further violations of the Waste Management Act, permission for development activities, violation of the excavation permit, so we will investigate further.]

Taean-gun Office is going to file a complaint with the prosecution.
