A321 crew invited to watch rocket launch from Baikonur
Director General of Roskosmos Dmitry Rogozin invited crew members of the A321 aircraft, who made an emergency landing in a corn field, to visit the Baikonur Cosmodrome during the launch of the Soyuz-FG rocket with the Soyuz MS-15 manned spacecraft.
This was stated by the press service of the state corporation.
“Together with the governor of the Sverdlovsk region, crew members of the Airbus A321 aircraft of Ural Airlines were invited to launch, who were able to make an emergency landing of the liner on the corn field after one of the engines failed as a result of the entry of birds,” the Russian Space Agency said.
It is indicated that the crew members of the aircraft were invited to observe the launch of the Soyuz-FG launch vehicle with the Soyuz MS-15 manned spacecraft, scheduled for September 25.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the title of Heroes of Russia to pilots who landed an Airbus A321 aircraft on a corn field in the Moscow region.
On August 15, an aircraft of Ural Airlines, after taking off from the Zhukovsky airport, made an emergency landing after engine ignition during take-off.
