An individual assaulted two passers-by knife in the streets of Rouen Wednesday late afternoon, before being stopped by a dozen witnesses.

A man stabbed two people in the street in Rouen late Wednesday. According to Le Parisien , after attempting to wound a third person, the individual was seriously injured by a dozen witnesses who interposed.

At around 18 hours, and for some unknown reason, the 28-year-old man stabbed a passer-by twice on the left flank and navel. A person then tried to intervene and was stabbed in turn, behind the skull and at the level of the brow bone.

Terrorist track removed

The two victims took refuge in a bar, while the individual tried to attack a third person. A dozen passers then interposed and "beat him". With a serious head injury, the alleged stab wounds were taken to the hospital and he has still not been placed in police custody. His vital prognosis is not engaged.

The man was not known to the police. The terrorist track is dismissed and the investigation was entrusted to the Departmental Directorate of Public Security [DDSP] of Seine-Maritime.
