Passenger cars staggering in the second lane. Suddenly cross the lane and take in the SUV.

Both cars are entangled and hit the freeway bus.

[Oh, don't go!]

Lost highway buses collide with the tunnel walls, then fall aside, and flames burst on SUVs that collide with the walls.

Passengers stagger and evacuate out of the collapsed bus.

This is a black box video from the creative tunnel accident of Seoul-Yangyang Expressway, which was secured by SBS on the 10th.

The accident brought 30 people to the hospital, three of whom were seriously injured.

According to police investigation, the blood alcohol level of a car driver who had an accident was 0.066% and the license was suspended.

[Park Mo / Tunnel Accident Witness: (Passengers) Everyone was coming out, and there was a lot of oil on the bus. I was scared because there was a risk of explosion because the car was on fire.]

The tunnels are walled to the side, which can lead to catastrophic secondary accidents and even large fires can occur if a fire breaks out.

[Dr. Suh Jin / Korea Traffic Safety Agency: The fatality rate is 2% in traffic accidents on public roads, while the traffic fatality rate in tunnels is more than double that of 5%.

The dark inside the tunnel also increases the risk of accidents.

I will write this and drive it myself.

Eyes that were widely distributed from side to side are concentrated in one place as they enter the tunnel.

The view is greatly narrowed.

As you enter the tunnel, your pupils are more than doubled and you can't see in a moment.

You are exposed to the risk of an accident for about two to three seconds when your eyes adjust to the darkness.

[Kim Jung-ryong / Hanyang University Erica Ergonomics Center Director: You can't see objects in the tunnel in a short time. Also, the driver cannot feel his speed properly because he cannot see the surrounding vision.]

When entering a tunnel, active defensive driving is required, such as slowing down speed to ensure a sufficient safety distance.
