Today, 14 days before the Liberation Day, the government commemoration ceremony for the Japanese military 'comfort women' victims will be held from 11:00 am.

The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family announced that more than 300 people, including victims of comfort women, civic groups and academia, will attend the ceremony at the Kim Gu Memorial Hall in Hyochang-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

August 14 is the first public testimony that the victim of the comfort women victims in 1991, Kim Hak-soon.

Kirim Day was designated as National Day in December 2017 under the 'Comfort Women' Victim Protection Support Act, and today is the second anniversary.
