A boat with six boaters on board capsized Monday afternoon off Agon-Coutainville in the English Channel. Three children aged 6, 7 and 11 died.
The three adults safe and sound
They were aboard a motorboat when the boat suffered an engine failure, about 300 meters off the coast. A wave capsized the boat, while the children were inside the cabin. Thrown into the sea, the three adults who accompanied them were rescued safe and sound but extremely shocked. An investigation is underway, entrusted to the Maritime Gendarmerie.
