Twenty teenagers who stole money from religious facilities around the country were captured as bases for taxi drivers.

The taxi driver, 67-year-old Kim, picked up 26-year-old A from around 8 am on the 9th of last month and headed to a church in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do.

When Kim asked, "What happened to the church in the morning," A replied, "We are going to sell food."

Kim recalled a reminder that the police said, "Theft suspects are carrying groceries at religious facilities."

Looking at the passengers' clothes, it was like a picture of a thief sent by the police.

The police received a report about Mr. A who stole money and ran away from Yongin and Suwon religious facilities on the 1st of last month, and sent pictures of suspected theft clothes to taxi drivers in southern Gyeonggi Province using the Kakao Taxi app on the morning of August 8.

After Mr. A got off, Kim quickly called the police and Mr. A was arrested by the police in the cathedral where the crime was.

Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency signed a MOU with Kakao Mobility, an operator of Kakao Taxi in March 2016, and sends out a broadcast message to taxi drivers who signed up for the Kakao Taxi app.

It was to quickly arrest a criminal suspect and find someone in Golden Time who needed help.

The police say they have found two deceased people early on after a MOU report, but this is the first time they have arrested a suspect.

According to the police investigation, Mr. A stole 6.4 million won worth of money over 30 times while traveling to religious facilities such as churches and cathedrals in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Chungbuk, for two months from May 6 .

The police gave a citation to Mr. Kim, a taxi driver who helped arrest the criminal, and paid compensation.

It was also selected as the 281 'Uri-dong Police'.

Since April this year, Gyeonggi Nambu Office has selected the best practices among citizens who have contributed to crime prevention and criminal arrest to promote community security.

Mr. Kim said, "I am happy that my report has been very helpful."
