Haakpo Beach is located in Taean Coast National Park.

Leaving the muzzle and entering the sea, a sand island appears in the middle of blue water.

At low tide, the sea level drops to an endless sea of sandy islands.

This is the Jangan resignation created by the accumulation of sand for many years.

This huge sandy island is 35km long, 4km wide and up to 35m high.

On the fine sand, traces of waves and scars remain vivid, adding to the mystery.

The sand fields are clearly visible in the clear water.

[Jang Tae-Soo / Professor, Korea Maritime and Ocean University: Whether it's blue or algae, it's about transporting sediments to make them elongate. The resignation was made three thousand years ago.]

The sandy islands that emerge above the water are a great shelter for cormorants and seagulls.

In the event of a typhoon or storm, it can block high waves and become a breeding ground for fish.

[Jeong-gu Choi / Taean Hagampo Fishermen: It is a great help for fishermen because it is a spawning ground for fish crabs or canaries.]

The underwater sandy island is about 3km from Hakpo, which can be reached in 20 minutes by boat.

Sand islands, which are usually submerged in water, can be seen for four days each month after the lunar or full moon.
