A car driven by an elderly driver rushed into a simple pool in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province, causing nursing home residents to be injured.
According to the Jeonbuk Firefighting Headquarters and the Chonbuk Provincial Police Agency on June 6, A (82) was driving a Granger car in a simple swimming pool installed in a parking lot of an apartment building in Chungju, Deokjin-gu, at about 11:17 am.
At that time, it was reported that about 10 students from nearby nursery schools were swimming in the pool.
In this accident, five people including B (3) and childcare teachers are injured and are being treated at the hospital.
Mr. A was reported to have stated to the police that he had "collided with the swimming pool during his back-up."
A police official said, "There has been no serious casualties or deaths so far," he said.
