According to the fire-fighting authorities, three workers were isolated at around 8:24 am today near the maintenance area of the storm water storage facility in Mok-dong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul.

Kumo, a partner company employee, was moved to the hospital but was eventually killed and two people, including Anmo, a contractor, and employees of Myanmar's national partnership, were missing.

The victims were trapped in a 40-meter-deep waterway for routine inspections at 7:40 am, but were unable to escape the sudden blowing of the water.

The accident, which is difficult to avoid, is a recurrence of the sinking of Noryangjin in Seoul, where workers have died in 2013.
