The 87-year-old driver hit two cars

An 87-year-old driver was driving "against the traffic" and first hit a first vehicle, the Sarthe police group said. The driver of the vehicle struck was slightly injured, according to the prefecture. But the octogenarian continued on his way and, two kilometers later, struck a second vehicle full force. Five people were on board. "One person is dead, two are seriously injured and two are injured," she said. The driver traveling in the opposite direction has also died. The victim, in this second vehicle, was 70 years old and was sitting in the back, said the gendarmes.
