In an opening speech, Dubai Customs Director General Ahmed Mahbub Musabah said that Dubai and the UAE are among the most advanced countries in the field of information technology and adopting modern technologies in the service of the economy. He added: "The number of countries in the world that Dubai deals with is 235 countries. In 2007, Dubai's non-oil foreign trade reached AED 1.3 trillion. The emirate achieved strong growth in its foreign trade during the first quarter of this year to reach about 339 billion dirhams, a growth of 7%, up by more than 23 billion dirhams compared to the first quarter of 2018 ».
