Volkswagen is going to build a new production center in Turkey, German and Turkish media write on Friday. The plans may involve an investment of approximately 2 billion euros.
The German business magazine Automobilwoche writes that the new factory in the province of Izmir must rise. Subsidiary Skoda would be one of the brands that will use the new location.
Last month, Turkish newspapers wrote about plans to roll off the band, among others, the Skoda Karoq and Seat Ateca in Turkey. The new factory should open its doors in 2022.
