The PC market grew 1.5 percent in the second quarter of 2019 compared to the previous quarter, market researchers Gartner and IDC report. Lenovo currently has the largest market share.
Compared to the second quarter of 2018, the PC market has grown by 4.5 percent. The analysts say that especially the development of Windows 10 has contributed to the sale of PCs. Support for Windows 7 will also stop shortly.
In addition, the shortage of Intel processors was largely solved. According to Gartner, this shortage had "a significant impact" on the PC market in the past eighteen months.
With 25 percent, Lenovo has the largest market share in the global PC market. The company experienced 15.9 percent growth last year.
In second place is HP (22.2 percent), followed by Dell (16.9 percent). Apple follows with a market share of 5.9 percent and Acer takes the fifth place with 5.4 percent.
