A Frenchman was found dead Monday after his boat capsized in front of Porto Corallo, on the south-eastern coast of Sardinia, because of bad weather, it was learned from Italian coastguards quoted by the media. The sailboat, which sought refuge in this small Sardinian port because of a strong gale of scirocco, capsized not far from the entrance of the port, precipitating its two occupants, a man and a woman, to the sea, according to these sources. Witnesses also alerted the helpers who managed to save this woman, French, but without finding trace of the man accompanying him.

Weather conditions had deteriorated

Continuing the search, the coastguard finally located the body of this man, stuck in rocks. Party of Santa Maria Navarrese, further north, this sailboat sought to enter Porto Corallo, due to deteriorating weather conditions, said the coastguard.
