Tennis world ranking first: Osaka ends cooperation with German coach

With Sascha Bajin at her side, tennis player Naomi Osaka has won the US Open and most recently the Australian Open. Now the Japanese girl says: She will not work with the trainer any longer.

The tennis world number one seed Naomi Osaka has separated from her German coach Sascha Bajin. "Hey, I will not work with Sascha any longer," according to a post on the official Twitter account of the Australia Open champion from Japan. "I thank him for his work and wish him all the best for the future."

Among the reasons for the end of the cooperation made the 21-year-old no information. Bajin answered Osaka's tweet and thanked her. "I wish you the best as well, what a trip that was, thank you for being a part of it." With Bajin at their side, Osaka won the US Open last year and the Australian Open at the beginning of the year.

The 34-year-old Bajin was formerly Hitting Partner of former world number one Caroline Wozniacki from Denmark and Serena Williams. Bajin once told The New York Times magazine, "I spent almost eight seasons on the field with Serena for eight years, and Naomi's weapons are as strong as Serena's."

Osaka had taken on January 28, ranked number one in the world rankings. She is the 26th overall number one in the 1975 Computer Ranking.
