Well-known opponent for Eintracht Frankfurt: The club will face Benfica Lisbon from Portugal in the quarter-finals of the Europa League. This resulted in the draw on Friday in Nyon. The quarterfinal duels will be held on 11 and 18 April. The Bundesliga club starts with an away game.

Frankfurt qualified for the last eight rounds thanks to a 1-0 away win at Inter Milan (first leg 0-0). Benfica continued against Dinamo Zagreb. The Eintracht is the last remaining German club in European club competitions. Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Schalke 04 failed in the last sixteen of the Champions League.

The Europa League final will take place in Azerbaijan in Baku on 29 May. A Bundesliga club has not yet been able to win the competition that has existed since the 2009/2010 season, so far no German club has yet made it to a Europa League final. Current title holder is Atlético Madrid.

In the other quarter-finals, it gets to do among other things, the Arsenal FC with the German players Mesut Özil and Bernd Leno with Napoli and coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Even the possible semi-finals have already been drawn: Should Frankfurt in the quarterfinals progress, the Eintracht in the semifinals would meet the winner from the duel between Prague and Chelsea.
