After a mocking video of Victor Osimhen on SSC Napoli's TikTok account, the player's agent threatened to launch proceedings against the Nigerian striker's club. This post on TikTok showed Osimhen's missed penalty attempt against Bologna.

Victor Osimhen's agent has threatened to sue Napoli after the Italian club's TikTok account posted a video mocking the Nigerian striker who missed a penalty on Sunday against Bologna. "What happened on the official account of Naples on the TikTok platform is not acceptable," explained Monday night Roberto Calenda on X (ex-Twitter).

"We reserve the right to take legal action"

"A video mocking Victor was first posted, then it was deleted. This is a serious fact that causes very significant damage to the player and adds to the treatment he has undergone lately between criticism in the media and fake news. "We reserve the right to take legal action and take any useful steps to protect Victor," he concluded.

This post on TikTok showed the missed penalty attempt by Osimhen against Bologna (0-0) on Sunday, as part of the 5th day of the Italian Championship, commented by a high-pitched voice saying "Give me penalty please". Top scorer in Serie A last season, Osimhen, 24, knows like his club, reigning Italian champions now coached by Frenchman Rudi Garcia, a mixed start to the season. He scored three goals, but he told his coach of his frustration when he was substituted late in the game against Bologna.

Osimhen, who joined Napoli from Lille in 2020, was coveted this summer by big names in European football, including Chelsea and Manchester United, but Napoli president and owner Aurelio De Laurentiis vetoed and met with his agent several times to get him to extend his contract. Napoli, 7th seven lengths behind the leader, Inter, hosts Udinese on Wednesday as part of the 6th matchday.
