The information was leaked a couple of weeks ago and the international integrity body in tennis, ITIA, is now publishing information about the case for the first time. Among other things, it appears that Madaras has been suspended since August 17 and recently missed the Davis Cup "for personal reasons".
According to ITIA, Madaras has failed to respond to a demand. It is not clear what this is about.
Two of Sweden's top three players are suspended
Madaras appealed his suspension but it was rejected on September 22 by autocratic investigator Richard McLaren, who led the Wada-commissioned investigation that threw Russia out of the sports community in 2016 over systematic doping, a suspension that remains in force today in many sports.
Madaras is the third best ranked player after Mikael Ymer (also suspended) and Elias Ymer.
