National football player Serge Gnabry will be out for several weeks. The 28-year-old suffered a fracture of his left forearm in FC Bayern's 4-0 win at third-division side Preußen Münster in the first round of the DFB Cup on Tuesday evening. This was confirmed by coach Thomas Tuchel on the Sky channel. Gnabry is therefore also out for the national team's trip to the USA in October with the first international matches of the new national coach Julian Nagelsmann.

His latest status is that Gnabry should be operated on as early as this Wednesday, Tuchel said. "Then it will take a few weeks," said the Bayern coach: "It's super bitter, especially for him personally, of course, but also for us. He's just an important player."

Gnabry had already collided with Münster's goalkeeper Johannes Schenk in the fourth minute of the game. He had continued to play for a short time, but was then substituted. Later, he sat on the bench in a team anorak.
