Between 14 and 22 October, the Nordic Open (formerly Stockholm Open) will be played at the Royal Tennis Hall in Stockholm. Leo Borg made his first ever ATP tournament at the Royal Tennis Hall two years ago, and now he gets a wild card to this year's tournament.
So does Elias Ymer, who in last year's tournament made it to the second round and eighth final where he made an honorable effort against the significantly better Frances Tiafoe from the United States.
"Leo Borg has climbed a couple of hundred places in the rankings and shows a really even and good game. We are now very much looking forward to seeing both Borg and Ymer back in the Royal Tennis Hall, two real crowd favorites for the Swedish tennis fans, says Thomas Enqvist, Tournament Director, Nordic Open.
Another wild card will be awarded closer to the start of the tournament, the organizer announces in a press release.
Also this year, SVT broadcasts the tournament.
