A new statistic revealed the 10 most expensive strikers currently in the English Premier League football competition, and it was remarkable that they do not include the name of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, Liverpool's top scorer.
The newspaper "Mirror" British that the young Norwegian striker Erling Haaland Manchester City comes at the top of the list of the most expensive strikers in the "Premier League", stressing that this is not surprising compared to what the player provided to his team last season, in addition to his numbers in the new season.
The Football Observatory, which revealed this list, relied on many factors, most notably the numbers and data of the players and what they provided to their teams in the last season 2022-2023 and the beginning of the current season 2023-2024, in addition to the duration of their current contracts with their clubs, and their current age.

10. Gabriel Jesus-Arsenal (€80m)
Jesus, 26, joined Arsenal in the summer of 2022 from Manchester City, having won four Premier League titles and three FA Cups.

Despite his long absence from the "Gunners" last season due to injury, after his return he managed to score 11 goals, give his teammates 6 assists, and score once in 3 games this season, and his contract with the team extends until the summer of 2027.
9. Alexander Isak v Newcastle United (€80m)
Isaac, 23, moved from Real Sociedad to Newcastle United at the start of the 2022-2023 season, and made a good impression at St. James' Park after scoring 10 goals in 22 Premier League games, and scoring two goals in 4 games in the new season, and his contract with the "McPasses" extends until the summer of 2028.

8. Moussa Diaby v Aston Villa (€80m)
Diaby (24 years old) arrived in the "Premier League" and specifically to Aston Villa last July, however he was classified as one of the most expensive strikers in the Premier League, especially after his remarkable brilliance so far by scoring two goals and assisting like them in 5 games.

Under the contract signed between the two parties, Diaby will remain with the Villans until the summer of 2028.
7. Anthony – Manchester United (€80m)
Brazilian Anthony did not succeed in convincing Manchester United fans, despite his arrival at Old Trafford in the summer of 2022, especially after scoring only 4 goals last season, and he did not score in the current season.

But his high value came thanks to his long-term contract, which he signed with the Red Devils, which expires in June 2027, in addition to his young age (23 years).
6. Cody Gakpo – Liverpool (€80m)
Liverpool signed with the 24-year-old Gakpo in January 2023 after shining with the Netherlands national team in the Qatar 2022 World Cup, as he was kidnapped by the "Reds" before Manchester United, who sought to include him, and won everyone's satisfaction at Anfield.

5. Darwin Nunez – Liverpool (€100m)
Another Liverpool player on this list is 24-year-old Núñez, who is under contract until the summer of 2028, and arrived from Benfica in a big deal in the summer of 2022.

He contributed 12 goals in 29 games (12 goals and 3 assists) last season, boosting them with two goals and 5 assists in the new season.
4. Marcus Rashford – Manchester United (€100m)
Manchester United striker Rashford, 25, may be older than the names on this list, but his presence has been made possible by the last contract he signed with management and will keep him at Old Trafford until the summer of 2028.

The Manchester United academy graduate scored 17 goals for the team and assisted 5 others in the "Premier League" in the 2022-2023 season, but so far he has been satisfied with a goal and assists like him in the new season.
3. Julian Alvarez – Manchester City (€100m)

2. Gabriel Martinelli – Arsenal (€150m)
Martinelli, 22, joined Arsenal in the summer of 2019, and recently renewed his contract to the summer of 2027, the Brazilian striker's form with the Gunners developed and was close to helping him win the Premier League last season with his 15 goals had it not been for the stumbles of the last rounds.

Martinelli has yet to score for the Gunners in the new season and will be sidelined for a spell due to the injury he suffered against Everton on Sunday.
1. Erling Haaland – Manchester City (€250m)
The presence of the Norwegian striker "lethal" at the top of this list is not surprising at all, as Haaland not only led his team to the title of "Premier League" and snatched the top scorer award, but also boosted it by breaking the record for the number of goals scored in a season by reaching 36 goals.

Haaland, 23, seems to be following the same path, having so far scored 7 goals and assisted a goal in 5 games in the new season, and is linked with Manchester City on a contract that extends until the summer of 2027.
