Grant hit a round of 69, three under par, and has climbed to the top of the leaderboard while Norén's 68 today means he will now most likely make the cut and play on this weekend.

Linn Grant went out early this morning and started strong with three birdies the first eight holes. Then followed two bogeys and two more birdies on the lap that ended three under par.

"Quite similar to yesterday, a little better conditions in the morning with less wind, a little softer greens," says Linn Grant.

Alex Noren and Robert MacIntyre praised Grant for her stability and that it "looks easy".

"We play golf in very different ways. They're a bit more full and deal with the consequences afterwards and I'm maybe a little more withdrawn and really follow the plan to the letter. It's a blast to watch, I get inspired, it's a bit more "lazy" – you have a little more fun on the track than I might have, laughs Grant.

German in the lead

Norén, who himself played solidly after a very shaky first round. Six birdies and two bogeys gave the best-ranked Swede a 68.

"I probably would have taken four under (par) before if someone offered. But I'm still unsure about the beatings and stuff like that, but pretty much good anyway, says Norén to SVT Sport.

German Yannik Paul currently leads on ten under par.
