FC Bayern sign Laimer

Bayern Munich have completed their first summer transfer. As the club announced, Konrad Laimer is moving from cup winners RB Leipzig to Munich as expected. The Austria international joins on a free transfer and has signed a four-year contract with Bayern until 2027.

"It's a dream come true for me. FC Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world," said the 26-year-old.

Laimer's move to Munich had long been considered perfect, with the central midfielder considered the preferred player of the now dismissed Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann. Laimer moved to Leipzig from RB Salzburg in 2017 and made 190 competitive appearances for the Saxons in six years.

Werder Bremen want ex-Leipzig player Keïta from Liverpool FC

Werder Bremen apparently want to bring midfielder Naby Keïta back to the Bundesliga from Liverpool FC. This was reported by the TV channel Sky on Friday morning via Twitter. The 28-year-old professional from Guinea moved from RB Leipzig to coach Jürgen Klopp's club in 2018 for around 60 million euros, but never made the leap to become a regular player in Liverpool.

Since the LFC will not renew the expiring contract, Keïta can move on a free transfer this summer. Sky already wrote on Friday of a verbal agreement between the player and Bremen.

VfL Wolfsburg to sign Twente striker Cerny

VfL Wolfsburg are close to signing striker Vaclav Cerny from FC Twente Enschede, according to consistent media reports from Germany and the Netherlands. As the »Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung« and »De Telegraaf« reported, Wolfsburg has already reached an agreement with the 25-year-old Czech. Now both clubs still have to agree on the transfer fee, which should be between six and seven million euros.

Cerny, who is currently fighting for a place in the European Conference League with FC Twente in the play-offs, has scored 15 goals for the honorary division club this season. Prior to his time in Enschede, the Czech played for FC Utrecht and Ajax.
