Noureddine Amrabet has admitted that his brother Moroccan international Sofiane Amrabat wants a move to La Liga, specifically to FC Barcelona, but confirmed that other options are available in light of the Catalan club's economic conditions.

Sofiane and his Italian team Fiorentina lost the final match of the Europa Conference League against West Ham United 1-2, which was held on Wednesday at the Fortuna Arena in the Czech city of Prague.

While he was analysing the match from the pitch for a television channel, and when asked about the possibility of Sofiane Amrabat moving to West Ham United, Noureddine replied: "No, he wants to play for the top clubs."

He added in remarks quoted by the newspaper "Marca" (Marca) Spanish "his wish to play in the Spanish league, specifically in Barcelona." "He is on the list of players that Barcelona want to sign but you already know the financial situation of the club."

Noureddine Amrabat confirmed that his brother Sofiane has many offers from European clubs.

Noureddine's latest statement comes in confirmation of what was published by the Spanish newspaper "Sport" a few days ago that many European clubs are seeking to include Amrabat in the summer transfer market, led by Manchester United.

She pointed out that the management of Manchester United is very serious in its efforts to obtain the signature of Amrabat and has begun a few days ago contacts with its counterpart in Fiorentina.

Amrabat's contract with Viola expires in late June 2024, so the Italian club will not mind his departure if a good offer arrives so that the player does not lose for free in the summer of next year.

Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez is seeking to sign a defensive midfielder to compensate for the departure of Sergio Busquets, as he told the management to focus its efforts on this file.

The "Marca" confirmed that Sofiane Amrabat is one of the names already on the table Barcelona in order to sign one of them in the "Mercato" summer.

But what prevents the deal from going through and fulfilling Sofiane Amrabat's desire to defend the colors of the blaugrana is the difficult economic situation that Barcelona is experiencing.

In addition to Amrabat, there are Martin Zubimende (Real Sociedad), Ruben Neves (Wolves) and Joshua Kimmich (Bayern Munich).

Zubmendi is Xavi's preferred choice but Real Sociedad do not intend to negotiate a sale to Barcelona, who are required to pay 60 million euros if they want to sign the player, according to Marca.
